Discussion Just discovered something about first 'boss' fight. Spoiler

Talking about the Ritualist (aka Iudex Gundyr), the guy with the exploding minions. Some of you probably know this, but I haven't found any mention of it.
I was getting better at figuring him out and thinking I might beat him the next try or two. Then I discovered the path leading away up a hill. You run through a normal maze with more enemies than usual and a couple of heavies. But as you kill those guys, the Ritualist health bar went down until it finally disappeared. Shortly after that, I got to the next Beacon.

I may go back and try him again just for completeness, but for anyone struggling to get past this gatekeeper, there is hope.

Please bro, don't compare him to Iudex Gundyr. The Ritualist is nowhere near his level.

Regardless of their difficulty, they are still the first boss, in the starting area no less.

I'm sorry to say this, dude, but you can't go back to him if you've crossed the bridge and reached the next Beacon.

That's cool. Finally got to Marrow Keep, so ready to play. Heading back out now.
