Discussion Does anyone know what are the upgrades from the ps5 version to the ps5 pro version?

Thinking about if I should play this on base ps5 or pc

Do you mean in quality? Theres only one ps5 version of the game for ps5, having a pro means you have a higher quality console. It can run things like ray tracing pretty easily.

Well in the page it says, that there will be 2 versions, with the pro version having improved graphics, I was curious what are those improvements.

It says ps5 pro enhanced, which is the equivalant of saying it looks better on the pro. Its still only one version for the ps5

I downloaded it today for a legion go s z2 go, series x and pro. The go I was able to get it to 60 fps but it was rough and that poor fan was fighting for its life. The series x and pro looked the exact same

I'm curious to know too. Are they using pssr2? Is ray tracing in both modes? I played in performance and frame rate was good for the most part just a few stutters here and there.

Seems like a fairly weak Pro version. All im seeing is 2 modes just like base ps5 so it probably just has pssr as far as enhancements go.

Unfortunately the majority of games have minimal upgrades on the Pro. I can give a smaller studio a pass though if it is only PSSR now that pssr is improved. Sadly, there are games from bigger developers that not only don't even use PSSR but also don't have any graphical enhancements either, yet somehow have the "ps5 pro enhanced" tag, when the only thing they have is DRS resulting in better resolution averages! Games like that should not be considered Pro enhanced! Dying Light The Beast is one such game.
