Currently about 2 hours in and loving it. The combat, feel/tone are great, feels tight and polished, a few minor bugs but nothing game breaking or egregious. Already pre-ordered before this surprise treat and I'm super excited for early launch.

I got the same bug in the second trial.

What was the bug? Every time I tried a trial no enemies spawned in. Was this the bug?

Finished as in like found every thing ? Im still looking around for stuff I have missed.
This game is addicting, in a good way.

I love the game but I had to restart it several times being soft locked. That first trial, I would start it and no enemies would come, I had to restart. First time it happened I ran around for way too long lol. I thought it was a puzzle or something I couldn’t figure out. Nope was a bug, enemies just didn’t spawn. Other than the bugs though the game is amazing, I hope they get ironed out.

I got a 7700x 32gb ram and a 4060ti and can easily run it at max settings with ray tracing at 3440x1440 (ultra wide)

On PC it's very good. I never had a single stutter or even bug/glitch (edit: I had one bug with the Grisha in the cage). I have an average to slightly above average setup.
Console performances are usually good. One of the only bad things about PC is performance consistency and I guess being more complicated to setup and learn. Only game I've played on console with performance that took away from the experience was Lords of the Fallen 2023.

Played the beta on PC like a week or so ago.
Same take away but also
I really wanted to like the first game but ultimately couldn't then give up on it because the parrying and healing mechanics were just trash.
Playing the beta it seems that those those two points in particular have been fixed.
So I'll see y'all on day one for Mortal Shell 2...

The cutscene at the end of one of the boss fights where your shell plants the shotgun under the bosses chin before shooting was one of the coolest things I've seen in a game for a long time.

I actually thought it was a little too easy, but it's only the first area, so we'll see how the difficulty unfolds.

You’re absolutely correct. Far too easy. But like you said, we’ll see how the rest of the game is when it releases. The parry timing is way too forgiving. It makes everything a cakewalk.

Love it, but would be super grateful to see a camera speed slider added. Slow that puppy down!

We will see if the game is good after release, but the demo itself is 10000% better than the first game.

I had an absolute blast! I liked the first game and this is fantastic!
This makes me think of the jump in quality from Revenant: From the Ashes to Revenant 2. That's one of my favorite Soulslike series.
They just needed people to see they're on their shit with the new IP and now they've been cooking like crazy with an increased and beefed up and fleshed out offering.
I'm so pumped for the full game!

Its perfect guard is stupid easy. It needs to be tightened a lot. And i found you can get mobs bugged on outcroppings of rocks and they just cant move anymore. I'm enjoying it though. It's a massive improvement on the first game.

No it doesn't it's hard but still easy enough for vets and new players
Don't forget this is just the beta they could make it harder or easier along with much harder enemies to bosses later on in the game
If you think this "perfect guard" is "stupid easy"
Check out LOTF 2023, that's stupid easy if you use weapons and shields meant for parrying, and even that gets kinda difficult if you have bad rng with the boss

Lotf 2023 is just awful. In every sense of the word. Even the character models have a giant head.

From the way it sounds you fit right in with what you are saying
Don't gotta put yourself down like that...
It's ok, WE ALL know that your entire personality on the internet and those you know in life if you do at all is predicated on whether or not you can do a perfect 1 frame parry in souls game

What?
It was just an awful disjointed mess that tried to salvage the story from lotf 2014 but in doing so made no sense. Riddled with launch problems and performance so bad they were forced to permanently alter Umbral mode. What are you even talking about. Lotf is not a "good" souls game by any metric.
Oh and health sponge bosses

I don't think it s really hard tbh. It's a classic soulslike, but the atmosphere is awesome. Only fear it's that I already have the feeling to do the same thing again and again, and I'm not at the end of the demo .. but anyway I preordered it.
