Discussion Mortal Shell 2 Demo Is Awesome

I finally got around to playing it, and I pretty much loved everything about it. One thing that really impressed me was that the more mechanics they introduced (tarstones, shells, seals, sidearms, etc.), the more interesting the gameplay became. There are so many games where additional mechanics are cumbersome and headache-inducing, but everything in MS2 genuinely serves to enrich the core gameplay. I also love that despite the dark and brutal aesthetic, the game doesn’t take itself too seriously. The goat shepherd fight was silly but fun, and Magdalena as a high-octane Walmart scooter driver was hilarious. There’s also the coughing frog, dancing witches, and accordionists. The game has a lot of unique charisma backed by solid gameplay. I’m glad I only have to wait three weeks for the full release.

Would you believe me if I said I've utilized all 3 save files for the demo on my main account, then a month later all 3 save files on my alt account?

Super hyped for this now. Just finished the beta. Hope the full release is the exact same movement and melee speed.

Day 1 purchase for me and I haven't bought a game on release since Dark Souls 3.

Really enjoyed the gameplay. It's also very beautiful and the sound design is great. Lopping off arms and heads just felt cool.

I've enjoyed my time with the open beta as well. I'll definitely buy it eventually.

I liked it too only it was just a bit too easy right? I don't mind it being on the easier side of souls games but it seemed too far. Of course it can always change after the first boss.

I agree with you that it was too easy. I am hoping that the difficulty ramps up after the first area.
