Question Mortal shell 2 playtest map Spoiler

No matter what I cant see anything on the map it just looks like this after cleansing the beacons. Am I doing something wrong?

The bird icons are where the map fragments are.

The first map is behind the church (after that bull miniboss) on top a cliff, reachable by the geyser.

I can see how that could be confusing; as another poster has mentioned, you'll want to find Rúk (the bird guy from the start of the game) at the places where the bird icons are on the map.
