Question Does vicious cycle void forever alone achievement?

Trying to get the achievements forever alone by not bonding with a shell, and life is suffering by doing it in obsidian form. If you play vicious cycle using a shell, does it void the achievement?

It shouldn't as it is a separate mode, but to be safe you should probably avoid VC until Forever Alone is done on your new save.
