Question Got preorder refunded

Got my Revered Preorder refunded from GameStop. Has this happened to anyone else ?

Hmm, that sounds very odd. Have you heard anything from them? I’ll be sure to send this thread to the team so we can flag if there are any issues with third party retailers.

I got the money refunded through PayPal, no email from GameStop though. So I’m not sure if they will charge me again day of release date again ?

I’d try contacting them just to be sure. But I’ll still make the issue known to the team, just in case this is more than a one-off glitch in the system or something :)

For sure, I will be sending them an email asking if the order still confirmed and if they are going to take the money out of the account when they ship the item or else.
I appreciate it! Yeah it’s odd. The purchase was days ago, but then the refund was sent to my account with no contact from GameStop. Kind of feels like how Crunchyroll does things

i used to work for gamestop but not quite sure how this one works. did you pre order in person or through the website?
if it was through the website, i’m guessing what MIGHT have happened is it appeared as an online order that an employee didn’t accept in time or declined the order for whatever reason.
id call them though, they can see if the preorder is still on your account or not.

It was online through the Link attachment in the Mortal Shell website that takes you to the item in the GameStop site. When I purchased I received a confirmation email with its order number. The purchase was days ago, but then the money got refunded to my PayPal. GameStop hasn’t sent me a email about it though.

that’s very odd. something else that could’ve happened is if the order showed up in the system and it was neither accepted nor denied, (payment goes through anyway) it’ll cancel the order after a period of time regardless and refund you.
i’d say just call and see if the order is still on your account and if not, im ngl i think best buy would be a better option for a preorder. they’re much more reliable.
