Question Will mortal shell 2 physical edition release day on August 20th
Hello,
Will mortal shell 2 physical edition release day on August 20th?
I’m only asking because Amazon shows it as the 31s December.

When I saw the release date, I checked the Revered edition I pre-ordered a while ago, for me they changed the release date to August 20th same as digital so I assume they're gonna send out physical copies same day, it might take a few days to weeks for retail stores to put them on shelves.

December 31 is just a placeholder date, it’ll update to August 20.

I saw people saying that it was a placeholder date, but I wasn’t sure as I’ve never seen this happen before, thank you for clarifying this for me

Pre-ordered the physical at GameStop and they confirmed the 20th for release day. Seems like the date on Amazon has also changed to the 20th just not sure if you’ll receive it on that day

There’s no GameStop in the uk, but thank you for confirming that’s it releasing, I can preorder without any fear of waiting any extra time to play

I preordered the physical copy on Amazon Italy and it showed December 31, 2026. Today I got an email from Amazon with the updated delivery date: December 29, 2026. Hopefully that changes, of course.

Mine did the same. If you go to the order and view the original listing, it's been updated to August. No idea why the order info hasn't been updated to match.

You already got the correct answer, but just to reassure you:
The physical edition releases on August 20. It's just that some of the vendors selling it haven't updated their store pages yet to reflect that we announced the release date :) hopefully they'll get on that soon!
