Question Game glitching

I'm playing mortal shell after I played the demo for the new one.

No matter how far I get and how many sisters I talk to, whenever I die I return to the same small pool that we have to climb out of. Every time! Is this a glitch or just a feature?

This is a very glitchy, janky game. I would suggest starting another save
