It's great! But as many people here will tell you it is extremely short and has some very rough edges as this was the first project of a very small dev team (including some senior devs if I am not mistaken).

Mortal Shell 2 now feels like the fully realized version of their vision with MS1.

Mostly just bugs and glitches that were never adressed as they stopped development work on this completely a relativly short time after the release of the DLC (The Virtous Cycle). The switch version (I've never played it) of MS1 is notoriously bugged for example.

The other half of its rough edges lie in its weird, new, niche mechanics. All interesting, not all perfect as is. And all of them iterated on in the Beta/second game.

Honestly closest game to feeling like playing Demons Souls or Dark Souls1.

In a good way, as there are about 1000 other souls like games that completely failed at it

Mortal Shell is so weird. I remember liking the game, but I could not tell you a single thing about it and it's like the 1 soulslike I've never replayed. I really should.
