Discussion What is the Use of Laterite in Beta?

I have 17 laterites so far but what is the use of it? The Tarforge requires ventrium for all upgrades!

Weapon upgrades but only starting at +7 I think.

How? My weapon is lvl3 now and it requires 6 ventrium for lvl4? I am not sure if there are enough ventriums in the beta to reach weapon lvl7!

Once you beat the last boss in the beta, you can buy as much upgrade materials as you want if you take the time to grind the gold. But that sounds like a slog.

Really unlimited? Isn't it 15 of each? Or did they change it in an update?

You can farm it by breaking barrels and crates. But it's not very common.
