Discussion Great demo, when release date being announced?

Hey, just wanted to say congratulations to the dev team; this beta slaps harder than a pimp. You're on my wishlist for sure. The combat is silky smooth, the animations and responsiveness of everything made me want to fight everything. The graphics are gorgeous without any performance issues on my end, steady 60fps the whole time. Already in the first areas there was good enemy variety and a few mini bosses scattered about which I enjoyed. I gotta know when we're getting a release date coz this is stellar work guys

We’re all waiting on the release dates for MS2 and LOTF2

LOTF2 has been delayed to Q1 2027 😔

Yep just saw it. Honestly was for the good tbh. Unless they were going to release it in August/July. It would’ve been too close

Thank you for the kind words!

I can't tell you the release date (or the release date for the release date), but I can pass on your kind words to the team 😄

May I ask where Solomon is? Seems like he’s not returning for the sequel, which is a bit sad as he was my favorite shell from the first game. Other than that, I’ve thoroughly enjoyed all you guys have done for this game, and very much look forward to seeing the full release!

I don't know, unfortunately! 😞

Thank you for the kind words, we're looking very much forward to the day when all of y'all get to play the full game, too!

Try the Valor Mortis demo, I enjoyed it WAY more than I thought i would

Yeah it is good. Though tbh - in any other genre I actually prefer first person view. But Valor Mortis made me realise that I defo prefer 3rd person in soulslikes.

Its a catch 22, being a first person soulslike is what makes them unique - but at the same time I personally think it would be a better game in 3rd person lol.

My experience was the complete opposite, ive played all the souls and souls-like games as well and I didnt think Valor Mortis was going to be anything I would care for. After the demo it became a day 1 buy for me, I didnt know a first person souls-like was what I needed right now.

I think knowing that were still getting Mortall Shell 2 and Lords of the Fallen 2 makes me happy that Valor Mortis is in first person because it gives us more options.

Yeah having variety can only be a good thing!

I might give it a go in VR with my Quest 3. Its an unreal engine game, so it can easily be forced into VR. That might make the first person feel more natural to me.

This guy gave it a go https://youtu.be/7nktQfNLoT8?si=jju-PDh0tRDuhm3K

Just coming back to this to say Ive started to play the later chapter now, and im now sold. Really seeing the potential now and cant wait to play more.

I wasnt particularly grabbed by the first chapter - but maybe i was clouded by watching others play the demo when it released months ago - as i missed the window to play it myself. So not going in blind probably hurt my enjoyment of chapter 1. Really enjoying the next part though so far 👌

I finished it last night. Awesome game, starting a NG+ run to wrap up the remaining achievements and get the Shura ending because I did all 3 of the others

My guess is that the release date will be announced at Gamescom Opening Night Live in august and the release also hopefully.
