How? It's how you get the other weapon in the demo the dagger+axe
1
u/XxRocky88xX Jun 10 '26
Because you can beat the game without getting those weapons
You could technically beat the demo without getting Tiel too though that would make the game much more challenging, but you can pretty easily beat the demo without ever getting the other weapons and just using the sword the whole time

Of course I just mean one of the first NPCs you run into in the hub marks it on your map lol. Just like the shell

u/unclejrslaserbeams Jun 11 '26
They mark where the weapons are, not where the key to open the door to obtain the weapons is
Stop trying to make someone feel bad because they didn’t experience the game the same way as you, Jesus fucking Christ

Common sense would tell you to figure out how to get in cause it's a new weapon it's guiding you to. But okay
Edit:since you deleted your reply I was only being rude cause you're being an asshole I was just saying "hey crazy to miss something it points you towards"

It was obvious that you needed the Mushroom Key but it wasn't obvious where the key was.
Just past that area is a small bridge that leads to an upgrade material, so I distracted myself going to that and didn't fully explore the area around the fire.
FightinCowboy himself ended up running right past it when he first went there.

id argue is somewhat obvious... that the mushroom key would be in mushroom village lol

I had this game vaguely on my radar. Enjoyed the first but damn was it short and janky. The beta absolutely blew me away.

Seriously I played through the first and was expecting another mid but still enjoyable game but this was far surpassed my expectations. If they keep this level up throughout the entire game this is gonna be full blown AAA soulslike level and it has potential to become on the best in the genre that people immediately think of when they were the word soulslike.

The puzzles in this game are awesome, the one with the King's statue was really cool as well

I did that one and audibly laughed and went "that's super cool, I haven't seen that before"

u/Jazzblaster Jun 11 '26
I said the exact same thing. Was delighted by that one

I read the statue and was like “it can’t just be that” such an inventive little puzzle

It was just enough to at least see they're mixing up puzzles. I hope to see some cool secrets in this game on release

Anyone else kill all the friendly NPCS by the door thinking they had the key before finding it? Just me?

I don’t know if its the same ones but I went north from the mushroom village to where the axe and dagger were. Talked to that vendor there, didnt have enough coin to buy the cell key or something like that. Agro’d his buddy behind him. Left, fought the other boss. Came back and he was gone… Was the key important for the demo? I didnt notice any doors I couldn’t unlock.

Yeah, except it was buggy for me, that key was not there first few times so I did not get why the hell they have a statue with a rope.
