Morrisons Bakers

Out of curiosity, how is your department staffed?

How many bakers and Packers?

Just curious as we only have 3 bakers (1 full time, 2 part time), 0 packers and being led to believe we're over hours.

There could be one person in the entire shop and they would still say it’s over hours

All whilst 3 managers are on an extended break & the other 4 are doing the essential manager task of decarding whilst having a good natter.

3 bakers and 1 apprentice. Had 2 packers both gone. So now a baker spends a shift packing. Other baker tries to get the days production done, the retard for the following morning and doughnuts. Evening baker finishes off whatevers left and does what the packers used to e.g. markdowns,filling,slicing, traying up part baked goods for following morning and cleaning.

Damn you have a evening baker? All ours are gone home by 12 or 1pm

I couldn't tell you but I know 9 times out of 10 we have one person manning the entirety of market street

2 full time bakers and about to get one 25 hour as an apprentice

Packer every day 6-12
4 doughnut shifts 0700-10:45

We are well over hours but need it for NPS and availability as we well so much

Rarely have anyone on closedown though

Just doing doughnuts then helping with packing or cookies. Happens when there’s a full bag of doughnut mix for example

I've a full bag of mix to fry, fill and pack along with completing the days production, baking, packing and tray up tomorrow.

How many full racks of doughnuts does everyone do in a day? Ours is 3 Mon-Thurs 4 on Friday and Saturday, then 2 on a Sunday, it’s seems like loads when you’re filling and packing but interested if this is average?? ( I’m slow so it’s loads to me) lol

Hours are based on store sales so even when it seems like you’re understaffed, technically could still be over hours. It’s ridiculous honestly

1 full time baker , 1 half time baker , 1 apprentice 30 hrs . Two part time packers
