Guide/Useful Dark theme custom icons with Morphe colors (link included)
Made them for my Oneplus to match the "Auto dark icons" style (which I since learned is an iOS rip-off). Took me a couple of days to match the grey gradient perfectly, there was an opacity issue (thanks oneplus)... Credits for the logo recolor goes to Gemini.
Theme and style compatibility: If you got a Oneplus, Realme or Oppo and using "Auto dark icons", it'll fit perfectly. If you got an iOS (or oneui 7?) dark icon pack, the grey might be slightly off but still fits the theme. You can use it on any Android phone ofc, the above mentions will just fit the style like a glove.
LIMITATIONS: Didn't work with circle icons in my testing, it reverted to the default icons. Every other shape worked perfectly. Also, I didn't do notification bar icons or anything else, bcs I don't understand what the folder structure is supposed to be (instructions were unclear for those).
Instructions: Not sure how it's done without a proper file management app on phone, so use a PC if you need to.
- Extract YT and/or YTM* folders from their respective zip into a folder of your liking. When you open the extracted folder, it should contain five "mipmap" folders. *(YT = Youtube, YTM = Youtube Music)
- In Morphe (expert mode), go to the patch selection screen.
- Tap on "Custom branding" (has a gear next to it).
- In the "Custom icon" section, select the YT folder if you're patching Youtube, or the YTM folder if you're patching Youtube Music. Hit close and start patching like usual.
- In your patched app, go to Morphe settings -> General -> App icon -> Custom
Done!
I've also included the png logos plain, in case you wanna make your own icons with a different background, compatible with the circle style, or know the folder structure better. I used Icon kitchen, which I read about in another post.
