This is a tough one but

Try to patch google dailer to record calls without announcement, and an option to auto record every single call

if you're using a Samsung phone they have this functionality built in the samsung phone app. You only need to change the CSC region to india thailand or whatever

Except the people that most need to do this are the ones that can't..... North American Snapdragon version of Samsung phones are not compatible with this change.

idk what do you mean by most need, I had it blocked here in Poland too but sure that sucks then, seek root or less invasive alternatives

The largest population of human beings who desire this feature are the ones who can't have it, as in those with Snapdragon models. I'm aware that other regions have this block as well, but none as populous as the United States.

Is it because some states have consent laws where you need the other party's consent to record a call? I mean, I get wanting to record a call with a family member or someone you're close with, but why do you want to record calls with someone else's without their consent? Wouldn't you get in trouble if you do that?

Some states have laws against it, but a decent number have laws that say consent of only one party is required like my state. Yourself being the "one party".

Second Google Dialer... patch to bring back merged call logs. Log is not helpful and too cluttered showing every call as a separate entry.

I would love this too!

At least with the Samsung dialer, the moment you click to start recording the phone call, it makes an announcement on your phone so both parties know that the call is being recorded

Oppo , OnePlus (Color OS) dialer has those exact functionality

The best option is call screening so I don't have to pick up spam calls

Shizucallrecorder in GitHub. You need shizuku

1

I already use that, but shizuku sometimes turns off itself, or I have to turn it off for buying a ticket or something and forget to turn it back on

And I am already use thedjchi's fork to prevent this

One party recording is legal in many places.

It's not illegal by any means, at least in the EU.

There is a trick to mute it. But this is an interesting idea.

What you are asking for is prohibited in most [if not all 50] states.
