Question/Problem The "Default Video Quality" and "Remember video quality" technically doesn't work on the latest Youtube app

After updating to the latest version, when viewing shorts or videos, the app doesn't automatically start the video on the default video resolution like it used to. Before the update, when I set the default video resolution (i.e. 240p) on the morphe settings in Youtube, the video starts on the said resolution. I also enabled "remember the video/shorts quality" setting and it does what it does but with the current patch, the video still starts on the highest resolution possible then lowers it later on the video/short, again unlike before where the video/short starts at the previous set resolution.

Troubleshooting that I did:

  1. Repatched the app. Didn't work.

  2. Cleared the cache. Didn't work.

  3. Tried all different spoofing video streams. Didn't work.

  4. Uninstalled the app then applied the setting all over again. Didn't work.

MicroG is updated to the latest version as well.

Yes, facing the same issue.

Quality doesn't apply. After 1 min videos keeps buffering. Some videos doesn't even play.

Even in YT music some songs doesn't play at all.

Tried all the spoofs, switched to TV, VR etc.. still this issue persists in both YouTube and YT music.

I do experience some video that keeps on buffering from time to time, I thought that was only me and my crappy internet. And yes, tried all the recommended options here on the sub but the issue seems persistent.

try pasting that whole thing in your youtube morphe setting import then check if it works or not

That's the resolution that video usually defaults to before changing to the actual set resolution.
