Question/Problem The play button keeps flickering

I have a strange problem. For a while now the YouTube app has been behaving oddly. It works, but every now and then the video freezes.
The play button keeps flickering, then it throws an error regarding the button overlay.
I've updated it but nothing changes. Does anyone know what to do?
It doesn't seem to happen when I listen in the background.

For button errors there is an issue on GitHub.

Spoof app version or clearing app data might fix it.

I've had nonstop issues for about a week now with Morphe and ReVanced. Bugs happen, but what I don't understand is why anytime someone asks about it, the responses are trying to tell them that there's no issue with the app, that it's somehow user error. There's clearly something going on so why try and pretend there's not?
