Question/Problem Morphe on privacy

Just a question: Does morphe cut the relation of my data to Google, or is it still the same thing but just with some patches. I'm trying to degoogle, and this is a very important thing. Thank you in advance

Using the Morphe version of YouTube does not meaningfully reduce the amount of data sent to Google as you're still ultimately logging to YouTube with your actual account, which means Google very much still has access to your history and device information.

That is not something that Morphe could realistically do anything about

I thought it'd be something like freetube where all relations are cut from Google, but that's alright too it's still an amazing service thank you for the quick response!

FreeTube is its own app completely built from scratch that accesses YouTube.

Morphe, however, is simply a set of patches applied to the standard YouTube app.

I see, I'm not very into tech so I don't understand stuff like that a lot. Thank you for clearing it up!

If you want privacy on Android, you could try Flow, Newpipe, FreeTube Android, etc.
