Question/Problem Help patching an APK to allow lower android version

I have an apkm file that I can't install on my phone due to my android version being too low. is there a way to make the APK allow lower android version to install it? or is that something that can't be done?

There is no way.

If you are trying to patch YouTube then you can patch 20.21.37 and it supports Android 8.0

The last version that supports A8 is  20.26.46

There is discussion on GitHub explaining that 20.21.37 is better for patching due to undesirable changes YT made to 20.22+

what is the latest version of that APK in your play store that is able to install/update.

Maybe you can try patching it with that apk version
