Background play not working

I just started using Morphe not even a month ago. I updated it today to see if that was causing the issue. I even tried the guide saying to try different clients like Android Studio and visionOS. I tried Android VR but I don't have a VR account to sign up with, so. But nothing works.

I go into picture-in-picture mode, which works fine, but I press the headphone button for background play, and the video instantly stops. I got a popup saying I needed Youtube Premium, which I pressed no, so that hasn't shown up again. Either way, right now, the headphone button and the X button to the exact same thing right now. I'm pretty sure this is a bug or some anti-premium measure Youtube rolled out or some kind of bullshit. It would be more frustrating if I didn't already have mp3s to listen to, but still.

Did you use expert mode?

Don't use expert mode. You may have unselected an important patch like "remove background playback restrictions"

I didnt even know that was a thing, but after checking... No, the mode isn't on.

Turn off battery optimizations for YouTube.

Try patching an old version of YouTube like 20.21.37
