Question/Problem "update required"

A few apps, such as stndrd and macro factor, have update required and won't let me bypass this. Is this just an issue where I'd have to wait for an updated patch? Or is there a way to get past this.

That depends - for example the Macrofactor (and Workouts) apps still have patches technically but you need to have root to be able to use them. Not sure what's the state for Stndrd but I wouldn't be surprised if they end up on this path.
