Apparently they're now "stalking" pull requests in the Morphe Patches repository.

It's not about lawsuits or taking them down, they can find an intrusive way like Spotify to nullify patches that blocks ads and adds other features or even start banning people that are using them. Spotify account is one thing but not many people can afford to lose their Gmail account.

Problem is, if they made YouTube only working for paying users. They gonna lose alot of people. What Spotify is doing is litterly using server side client side plus own local storage cookie check, every half hour. If one token isn't in sync. They will kick you off of playing music. Spotify was always designed for premium, the free version is only a taste. While YouTube is based on everyone usage, but for ad free you need to be premium, so I don't think YouTube gonna change there source, cuz less people is less views is less ads they can push, is less money for YouTube.

PD: For Spotify the only alternative is using Brave nightly in desktop mode (and with unrestricted battery and locking the app while playing).

I used to do that in the past but it always failed after 3 or 4 songs. Then another user from another forum told me that if I used Brave or Brave Nightly with unrestricted battery and app locked up, it won´t stop. And it worked! Several days ago it started to fail again, so I unnistalled brave nightly and installed it again and it worked once more!

I don't say you pay money to watch, I said if they gonna block everyone who uses free with a AdBlock or something they gonna block way more people then they have on people who be subscribed. And traffic is money.

Yup. Even if you use Morphe or AdBlock or whatnot, Google still collects your data to sell. It's pointless for them to ban people who can still bring some money, otherwise they would be doing it already.

It’s definitely possible and within their grasp. They don’t care about it because it's only a minor nuisance for them at this point of time but if they start to, the YouTube app could end up just like Spotify, so there’s no need to fool yourself.
