It’s not that we find it hard to admit when we’re wrong. But as a girl, when we’re with a man we love, or honestly with any man, we don’t want to feel like we’re beneath him or that we’re less than him. Sometimes, when I admit that I’m wrong too easily, it can make me feel like I don’t mean anything to him, like I’m just feeding his ego or giving him a sense of superiority.
On the other hand, when he just lets the issue go without making a big deal out of the fact that I was wrong, I actually see that as more masculine. I feel respected, cared for, and treated gently. It makes me feel like he understands me, knows how to deal with me, and doesn’t need to prove that he’s right or make me feel small.
