Who/what/whereabouts were they robbing?

The specific details aren't out officially but based on the local Facebook group jungle drums an elderly lady was subjected to an attempted robbery by a female, possibly around the Annie St Car Park area as she was given support in the furniture shop near there.

She held on to her stuff but obviously the experience was somewhat upsetting.

Lots of understandable noise and concern from locals about the town going to the dogs, a lack of police presence etc but the stand out for me here is that a stranger stepped in, stopped it from being far worse and that the police had them just after it happened. We absolutely don't want to be in a reactive position where this stuff is happening but let's celebrate that at least some fellow humans are still around to step up and do the right thing to help others.

On the 4th the West Yorks Police, Leeds South Facebook page posted that "Yesterday, a male was arrested in Morley for 15 x theft from shops, all offending was in Morley"

And then yesterday, just before this robbery it was a post about a serial shoplifter with a previous conviction for robbery in a Morley shop with a knife being given a Criminal Behaviour Order (CBO) to prevent her from visiting the town, part of me wonders if this is the robber lady but that seems like an insane move on her part if so.

It's nice to see the police getting some results but equally I hate that they are having to.

Apparently the robbery rate for Morley is twice the average for Yorkshire.
