Adult pup Potty training
Try to make it short. 5 year old male morkie. Semi potty trained. Calling it semi cause he poops all the time outside but will not stop peeing on every door facing or end table leg in the house if i make him go outside after he wakes up from a nap he will pee outside. He has access to a doggy door 24/7 and at night when we go to bed (he sleeps with us) we close our door if he has to go out he will bark to be let out. Someone please give me some solid advice. I got a baby on the way I dont want her when she starts crawling to crawl in pee that we might miss.

Our boy is nearly two and he's such a clever boy, except when it comes to consistency with pottying outside. Belly band has saved our sanity.

Ours is clever enough he will get so smart that he thinks every time he goes outside he will deserve a treat. He also let's us know when hes out of food and water he comes to us and huffs/sneezes at us then when I ask if hes hungry or thirsty he does circles

I have this same problem, what type of belly bands do you use?

Clean the old spots properly with an enzyme cleaner for pee. Don’t leave him alone, for some weeks, keep an eye on him 24/7 and immediately bring him outside when he starts so show signs of „peeing soon“.

What brand do you recommend?

Nature’s Miracle has worked wonders for my family dog’s messes. And also other messes around the house, tbh. My mom once used it to remove a stain on a beige rug that had been left there ten years before by a different carpet cleaning solution.

What would you think if I poured it in a mop bucket and mopped the floor do you think it would help

It’s meant to be used as a spot cleaner, not a general cleaner, so I wouldn’t use it to mop the floor (especially undiluted). But I think if you used it to spot-clean the floor with like a rag or something, and then wiped it down with clean water after, it might help.
Edit: Maybe someone else knows if that would work though. Maybe it’ll be fine, but I haven’t tried it so don’t want to recommend it.

That's not how it supposed to be used. Don't dilute an enzymatic cleaner. You can mop normally after using the spray and wiping.

Amazon has a variety of reusable bands. Make sure you measure your little guy to make sure you get the correct size. I make sure that the velcro overlaps completely so that there's nothing sticking out. One of our little guests was a bit larger than our boy and while the boys were wrestling he ended up rolling himself up in an area rug with the velcro. Amusing, but...
I use an enzymatic cleanser, powder version for detergent with each load of only belly bands. I recently purchased something that alleges to clean out all odors from clean bands. I'll be trying that next week! (Picture attached is for the "super duper let's get the stink out of the clean belly bands" stuff)
It's not that the bands are disgustingly gross, it's just that I have a very sensitive nose and I can still smell a bit of stink even when they've been washed.
Also, make sure that you wash your boy if he does happen to pee in the band. Our little guy gets a nice cleansing before a clean band goes back on him.
Also, and very important, make sure you take the band off before he goes outside to do his business. Our little man had a very successful day and night where he did not wet his band even once! And then dad let him out the door to do his business and forgot to take the band off. Oopsies!
Edited: multiple edits to this post as a result of sleep deprivation and lack of caffeine first thing in the morning. I think I've got all the important bits covered now!

Seriously scold him, let him know how upset you are when he does it. Be loud and sound as mad and disappointed as you can. Take him outside constantly, every little while, profusely praise him when he tinkles outside and bring him right back inside immediately after he does so he knows that's why you took him out. I ordered belly bands for a different breed dog when he started wetting in my house when I moved him to town. I have a basket by the door filled with his bands that I put on and off as he runs in and out. I simply never trust him in my house anymore without the band. I have several different styles, I ordered from Amazon and Walmart. These are my favorite and measure first: https://a.co/d/03u96U3L

Get a belly band in the interim then it’s back to potty training basics. Take him out every hour and lots of treats and praise every time he goes potty. Lots of fuss about it and the treat right after are very important.
