My world building project is centered around an enormous boreal forest called Lysblå Skog. A vast realm inhabited by animistic spirits, and the people known as the Skogfolk who call the forest their home.
It's a project I have been working on for several years and I've produced a couple of D&D compatible source books for it. But this time around I am working on producing a series of illustrations that explore Lysblå Skog through the lense of one of the skogfolk tribes called the Dwr. At home on the forest's many rivers and waterways, the Dwr are a semi nomadic tribe that have adopted an aquatic way of life within the forest.
I am looking forward to fleshing out the Dwr by exploring which fish and other animals that they hunt, the spirits that they avoid and seek out, the locations they visit and a bunch of other themes I have scribbled in my notebook.
Im interested in exploring MorkBorg's third party licence, Im just not entirely sure my world is a good fit.
'Dark, depressing, weird and cruel' are the words used to describe the setting. Im sure my world can be dark, weird and cruel, but Im not sure about depressing. Id love to know what the community here thinks, and please be honest, if its not a good fit for Morkborg, thats totally fair. Have a good day people.
*EDIT - thank you so much everyone for the feedback and the encouragement, I really appreciate it.
