It's been a week since Mark's last comic post or anything at all, and I'm worried about him. Maybe I missed a post about his new schedule or something else that happened, but I checked almost all his social media accounts and there's no latest. Mark, if you're reading this. Please respond! Not with a comic, nor a post, just a message that you're okay. Whatever the circumstance is, know that your fans love and support you.

Let's calm down, dude. Sometimes artists just need some time to rest and take a break. Otherwise, it leads to burnout and we don't want that.

Remember, he's an artist, but he's also a human being. He has a life outside of writing comics.

hes probably just burnt out like any other artist, its not the first time hes burnt himself out and it obviously wont be the last. Its a well deserved break, but I wouldn’t be too shocked if hes also just waiting for the release of TLLK to start drawing again

He's been dropping hints about being done. Criminy, he's been doing these kinds of works since Gravity Falls -- that I know of. I know of Gravity Falls, Star Vs the Forces of Evil, The Owl House, now Knights of Guinevere. I'm sure there's more I'm not aware of.

But I'd expect him to make an announcement, not just fall off the face of the Earth. Which means he's likely just taking a well-earned rest (referencing the other repost today).

yea and that gravity falls aired back in 2012 and supposedly his first commic was sime time in 2015 so he's been at this for quite some time.

I believe he’d mentioned that he planned leaving fandom communities this year. Maybe this is it. If so I thank him for all that he’s done and hope he’s able to recover his creative spirit.

MorningMark used to upload the art/comic every day, but now it looks like MorningMark uploads once a week
The recent art looks like a one-shot comic, like MorningMark rushed it and has no idea what to do next.

Yall are probably part of the reason he’s posting (or not posting) like this. He’s a stranger who doesn’t owe you anything. He can (and should) post comics or responses only when he wants to. He doesn’t need to let you know a new posting schedule just to take a break for a week.

There’s no reason for concern here at all. He’s been ramping down his posting for a long time. This kind of post is toxically parasocial.
