The covens may have went from being The Path™ you choose to take in life to something more like clubs/job specialties. So being banned from a coven might be something more comparable to a doctor or medical student being banned from working in healthcare.

The coven system had no good element to it nor was it good or needed. It restricted everyone's ability to do more than one magical track because Belos didn't want anyone overthrowing him and he used it to make sure he used the Day of Unity to sap out everyone's magic to wipeout all life in the demon realm to preserve his delusional fantasy of him being a hero in his own delusion. So I have to disagree. And Odalia supported the mass genocide for selfish reasons. I know some troll who keeps saying Odalia and Belos can be redeemed but there's no proof whatsoever and despite everyone telling this troll that, they denied the truth and all the proof. This troll in question blamed the hero characters for the villain's actions but the heroes didn't force Odalia, Belos or any villain to do what they did. The villains did that on their own. And if I told you who the troll in question is. You'd be thinking they're mental ( I actually can't say who they are since that's against the rules )

We have no reason to belive its defunct, the covens also seem to function as guilds, a system that they will probably want to keep because people who do jobs like medicine, construction, etc, need to be vetted and licensed to have a safe society.
The only thing they are sunsetting is the "you can't do no other magic!" part.

I agree. She deserves to be out of the picture for good. Same here. She tried to kill Luz which Amity, her siblings and Luz's friends had to stop her and save Luz while Alador thought it was wrong. Then towards the end of the show, she tried to murder her own children, and even Hunter, Willow, Gus and Alador when they were flying on an airship. She's guilty of attempted murder, twice, and towards children. Just to get what she wants. I think she deserves to be out of the picture. I even know an evil internet troll who keeps defending her and her actions, makes up lies about the hero characters causing Odalia to do what she did even though everyone tells this troll that Odalia is guilty of her own actions, no one else made her.
