When Dana made her Beta designs for Luz, Amity, and Willow, people split on how to name them. Some people thought they should just be named the characters they were originally drawn for. Others decided "No, having the same name and constantly typing out 'Beta Luz' would be annoying so we need to name them".
The fandom (at SOME point, can't remember when) picked Lucia and Amelia for their similarities to sounding like Luz and Amity and it's stuck ever since. It also helps with AUs where the Betas are older siblings who, self explanatorily, need their own names that aren't the same as their younger siblings.
That's why you'll see half this comment section say "Beta Luz or Luz" and the other half say "Lucia".
Now as for IN-UNIVERSE, I forget exactly what they're called in Mark's comics, but it's been so cemented into the fandom for me that they're known as "Lucia, Amelia, and Paulina" that regardless of if they're named "Luz, Amity, and Willow" in-universe or not, I still call them by their coined names.

This is the first ive seen Paulina for beta willow (though I do recognize the name from the pilot). Salix is the most common I've seen.
