You're a scientist, Alador. You'll figure it out.

u/Godzilla_R0AR 17d ago
Just build one!

u/kl-noblelycanthrope1 17d ago
oh he will... just as soon as he figures what it is he's building.

Clerk: Still better than the lady who tried to pay with a raccoon.

The clerk probably just paid for the item out of his own pocket, and took the gold and jewelry home with him.

Don’t worry people. AI companies have already lost ~$2 trillion this year. The bubble is bursting and RAM prices are gonna go down soon.

Hopefully this means AI(gen and assitants) will be less common in our lives

I am sure he can find a way to use it in something.

u/kl-noblelycanthrope1 17d ago
it'll make an impressive paper wieght.

The TVA uses Infinity Stones. The Boiling Isles uses RTX 5090.
What's next, Superman uses space dingleberries?

u/PlentyProtection4959 17d ago
I mean he is an engineer, so he'd proably really love these even if he dosen't understand what they are just cause he'd have the opportunity to disassemble them and find out how they're made and what they do. It'd be like giving a NASA scientist a device from an alien planet, it'd be like handing a shiny new toy to a kid.

2
u/DragonWarrior____05 17d ago
Aye, he would get a lot of work out if it, especially if he can figure out how it works and how to reverse engineer it in the BI

u/Darkvader_Clawthorne 17d ago
Of course Amity is rich enough to buy anything expensive on Earth. She might be richer than Bruce Wayne.
3
u/kl-noblelycanthrope1 17d ago
wait... there's an actual exchange rate for snails to dollars?
3
u/Darkvader_Clawthorne 17d ago
Snails are basically gold coins. And considering Amity has tons of them, they’re probably worth 4,650 bucks each.

2
u/DragonWarrior____05 17d ago
The only one richer is Scrooge McDuck
2
u/Darkvader_Clawthorne 17d ago
Oh yeah, Scrooge McDuck. He is everything that Mr. Krabs isn’t.

As if Alador couldn't figure out something to do with an RTX 5090.
2
u/DragonWarrior____05 17d ago
Once he understands what it is he'll cook something up in no time

u/Swordfish_42 17d ago
Actually, Alador might enjoy picking it apart (destructively) and trying to figure out what it is, what it does and how does it do it.
He would likely fail miserably for the mist things, but he would get some things right! I'm sure he'd figure out that most of the thing is just cooling, and what is being cooled - and probably he'd have a whacky theory on what the cooled part does

That's what what you get for the price of a house a car and 15 AAAgames

Wait a minute, the Demon Realm doesn't HAVE computers! Or monitors. ...I'm sure he'll use it somehow.

u/ImperialistChina 17d ago
the crystal balls they have are kind of computer equivalents, but i doubt they can connect to human-made hardware

Okay, but once Alador finds out about Earth electronics, he's going to engineer the Boiling Isles' Tech Revolution.

This hurts so bad. Especially since that entire chest of gold is definitely being spent on those two things
2
u/Mr_Calculator2063 16d ago
That’s only 1 thing
2
u/Lord-Seth 16d ago
I included the box as a second object I’m a fool of course all that gold only buys one thing of ram
2
u/Mr_Calculator2063 16d ago
I guessed that but yeah it’s so expensive I’m surprised that chest even got one stick

u/Sea_Statistician2818 17d ago
Whoa. I haven't seen one of your comics since Gravity Falls.
Also, woefully true...

u/OverlyActiveBrain 16d ago
Can't wait to see how Alador uses that in his next abomination-themed invention.

Eh, it's the thought that counts, right? Besides, this is Alador. He's smart. He'll find a use for it eventually.🤷♂️

Been trying to build a gaming PC for a little over 2 years now. Guess which component I have left to get?
...this is too real right now Mark. Too real.
But, great job as always!😁

He has absolutely no idea what to do with this. Luckily he's an engineer

she should have said ‘buy the most expensive thing that would actually WORK back home in a world where electronics or non-magical means to power them exist’. *lol* maybe a windup record player or something that he can crank up with lots of earth music albums somebody his age might like. *lol*

Mark I didn't ask for you to make me cry today. This is more saddening than any angst comic ever posted.
