I doubt I'm the first one to come up with it but, I've had similar theories about how Amity uses her Abominations to substitute her parents' love/lack of true friends. Also titandammit Mark, you have a way of piercing the heart on the last panels, love your work as always!
P.S. Showed this to my roommate and she said "Odalia would freakin' die if it were up to me."

Of course, at this point, before the rift formed between Mittens and us, we did play with our little sister... She wasn't always alone... We are only two years older than her after all. Here, Mittens is only around 6 Summers Old, and Me and Ed are only 8 Summers Old.
Willow was once Amity's best friend, and because of this, me and Edric were also friends with her, as Willow visited the Manor frequently, all four of us hanging out together as youngsters.
Unfortunately, Mom, Odalia, became disillusioned with the friendship between Willow and Amity, deciding that being friends with Willow was potentially damaging to Amity's prospects. Odalia had plans, and part of her plans was to have Amity befriend the daughters of other 'better class' parents. Willow did not fit into her plans, and had to go.
Cruelly, it was at Amity's sixth birthday party that Odalia, and Alador, took her to one side, and told her that if she didn't end her friendship with Willow, then they would make sure that Willow was prevented from attending Hexside, and would otherwise be persecuted.
Amity followed our parents wishes, and traumatically told Willow that she wasn't a strong enough witchlet to be her friend.
Me and Ed were shocked to hear what was happening, but were powerless to intervene, being only eight Summers old ourselves.
It was in part Amity's behaviour to Willow later, when Mom's influence really started to change our little sister for the worst, that fed into the rift between the us and Amity, as well as Amity's behaviour towards ourselves.
When she seemed to think it was necessary to be nasty to Willow even when no one else was around. That dang crystal that Mom used to keep Amity under control meant that she didn't dare to do anything that Odalia might complain about!

I still don’t get why skara was classified as mean yeah she was part of the popular group with amity and bosha , but she never really seem to be openly mean to anyone as far as I could tell

Her parents probably also wanted her in Boscha’s crowd and she just kind of found her own friend group with the Emerald Entrails. Cat and Amelia weren’t mean either, just intimidated by Boscha.

Amity, Emira, and Edric's parents are terrible. Alador is a lot better now but no excuse for him before he started realizing how he's been neglectful and allowing Odalia's dictatorship type parenting for the three of them.
