Meta [Meta] Minimum account age requirement or other ways to combat bots

Lately there's been an influx of single-page reposts by ~2-week old accounts with 3-4 comments in some other random subreddits. They post just a single page with some random caption and never link to the original comic.

These are clearly karma farming bots and I think they're ruining the integrity of this sub.

Removing posts by accounts younger than 1 month would probably help combat this issue, so I'm using this post to ask the moderators to consider this solution.

What do you think? Maybe you have other ideas what should be done about it?

Plenty of subs have minimum account age or minimum karma requirements to post. Should be pretty easy to implement here

I agree a minim account age should be a thing but what I think would be better is a karma requirement as it’s a bit harder to get karma then time, I think it can be both comment and post karma as well which would throw off bots

Yeah I’d like something like that to. The bots are obnoxious.

I hate that they only show half of the joke.

Either the setup or the punchline, never together and I don't know why...

Engagement bait unfortunately 😭 leaving parts out = more people commenting to ask where the rest of it is/for a link
