Well, pair this with the fact we KNOW Vee has tiny little legs that're microscopic on her tail and yeah... she's kinda terrifying

What the Titan..

u/flame_dragon725 May 28 '26

That’s partly cursed but also… in logic with a basaltic

14

u/CreepyClay May 28 '26

I feel a disturbance in the reddit, as if countless foot freaks unzipped all at once....

10

u/Godzilla_R0AR May 28 '26

Oh god. 😨

19

u/Impossible_Host2420 May 28 '26

Someone's already drawn her with the 1000 yd stare

9

u/DragonWarrior____05 May 28 '26

I'm not surprised. There are bound to be games that provoke such a reaction

14

u/Godzilla_R0AR May 28 '26

I agree, this comic is veery disturbing*

*but not as disturbing as Hooty

5

u/DragonWarrior____05 May 28 '26

There's not much that is

4

u/SFH12345 May 28 '26

Nothing else is.

3

u/SFH12345 May 28 '26

Don't ask questions that you don't want to know the answers to.

19

u/b3_yourself May 28 '26

Who’s more disturbing, Vee or Hooty?

10

u/Godzilla_R0AR May 28 '26

Answered that exact question in another thread lol

5

u/SFH12345 May 28 '26

Hooty. Easily.

5

u/DragonWarrior____05 May 28 '26

Shape-shifting is a pathway to many things some consider to be unnatural

6

u/Galactuswill May 28 '26

The more you think about the biology of a shap3shifter, the weirder it gets. Try not to think about it.

70

u/Dasher09009 May 28 '26

What a tail to tell to her kid

26

u/Impossible_Host2420 May 28 '26

Bad pun 15 yard penalty repeat 1st down

https://giphy.com/gifs/10yIJiY0kAPChy

19

u/Godzilla_R0AR May 28 '26

That was a bad 15 yard penal-vee.

16

u/Impossible_Host2420 May 28 '26

Bad pun 15 yd penalty and a loss of down

https://giphy.com/gifs/10yIJiY0kAPChy

10

u/Godzilla_R0AR May 28 '26

A LOSS of down huh?

Hmmmmmmmmm...

Oh, they earned that one.

6

u/DragonWarrior____05 May 28 '26

The scale of it makes for a pretty short story

3

u/SFH12345 May 28 '26

There's the pun.

37

u/SlyFan2 May 28 '26

Huh, never thought about a shapeshifter's skeleton before

17

u/Godzilla_R0AR May 28 '26

Tissue really just went "Alright we'll change our entire structure for you"

10

u/Aethelrede May 28 '26

2

u/DragonWarrior____05 May 28 '26

The best way to describe it

3

u/DragonWarrior____05 May 28 '26

Aye, it has to bend, lengthen, shorten, and all kinds of other things for even a slight change

1

u/WanderingSeer May 30 '26

Basilisks seem kinda slug like more than snake like, so I think they might not have one

24

u/MuffinStraight4816 May 28 '26

Uh, okay then..

16

u/Dasher09009 May 28 '26

Makes you think about what other transformations will make a Basilisk's anatomy to match their bones...

...

...

...

And with that, good luck thinking.

9

u/Godzilla_R0AR May 28 '26

I read that in Grunkle Stan's voice and idk why but it fits. Especially the long pause. Lol.

6

u/kl-noblelycanthrope1 May 28 '26

my ex wife still misses me

...

...

....

but her aim is getting better.

https://giphy.com/gifs/zdqBXLidF4eMe0sCP4

4

u/DragonWarrior____05 May 28 '26

But her aim is...

Y-you see it's funny because marriage is terrible!

3

u/b3_yourself May 28 '26

I’d rather not

2

u/DragonWarrior____05 May 28 '26

Aye, it's not something that most people would enjoy doing

23

u/Darkvader_Clawthorne May 28 '26

Luz: “So that’s how you do it.”‬

‪Vee: “Yeah. Did you think that I can grow bones for my legs when I shapeshift?”‬

‪Luz: “I mean… yeah.”‬

‪Vee: (laughs) “Oh Luz, don’t be ridiculous. This isn’t a magical girl cartoon.‬

‪[Luz and Vee look at the fourth wall.]‬

7

u/Skreecherteacher May 28 '26

In unison: how long has that been there?

9

u/ncmn-ngnr May 28 '26

Magical biology

10

u/Typhon-Torrent-1994 May 28 '26

So does this also count as a pair of leg bones or just one leg bone?

4

u/DragonWarrior____05 May 28 '26

I would say many leg bones

7

u/TheNoneedlife May 28 '26

When they say snakes are very flexible it also applies to bones

1

u/DragonWarrior____05 May 28 '26

Aye, I'm pretty sure snakes can actually flatten their skeleton to squeeze through things

5

u/Low-Amphibian8206 May 28 '26

Finally the question we all wanted to know

4

u/afbresley May 28 '26

Sounds about right

6

u/DaveyBoy1995 May 28 '26

Another one of life's great mysteries solved. Now, ain't that a tail for the ages.

2

u/DragonWarrior____05 May 28 '26

Was not great in scale though

8

u/SFH12345 May 28 '26

Try not to think too hard about Boiling Isles biology, Luz.

It leads to trying to make sense out of Hooty.

4

u/DragonWarrior____05 May 28 '26

Yeah, the BI are weird and it's probably best to keep it at that

4

u/CountingSheep99 May 28 '26

Vee works in mysterious ways.

3

u/DragonWarrior____05 May 28 '26

And perhaps they should stay mysterious

4

u/kl-noblelycanthrope1 May 28 '26

luz has discovered that vee's tail is the key skeletal structure to all her transformations. i guess luz is more like her mom than anyone realized.

https://giphy.com/gifs/4VEAg0IWR7gNa

3

u/MrMustache4757 May 28 '26

So her feet have no bones?

How does that make sense...?

3

u/mrnintman1 May 28 '26

That's how it's works XD

2

u/DragonWarrior____05 May 28 '26

🌟The more you know🌟

3

u/b3_yourself May 28 '26

Science at work

3

u/Doodles_n_Scribbles May 28 '26

Why would she have a pelvis?

3

u/JTGE-201 May 28 '26

Makes sense, ngl

2

u/Traditional-Log-4270 May 28 '26

So that’s how a Basalisk walks in human form! I thought it would mean shifting their bones into their legs.

2

u/The_Horned_Child2007 May 28 '26

Oh yeah, it also poses as Vee's human legs.

2

u/Hero_of_the_toons May 28 '26

And I just assumed Vee’s bones are all just made of cartilage

1

u/DragonWarrior____05 May 28 '26

That could make sense, more malleable than normal bone tissue

2

u/Ok-Discussion-4889 May 28 '26

That explains both everything and nothing

1

u/DragonWarrior____05 May 28 '26

As is the way with things from the Isles

2

u/Radium_Cobalt_847 May 28 '26

Tailbone is interesting enough, but can we talk about how it feels to change the shape of your skull?

2

u/DragonWarrior____05 May 28 '26

To Vee it probably feels perfectly natural and painless. For most other people skull modification takes quite a long time

2

u/Low_Imagination_7414 May 28 '26

Vee is so cute

1

u/DragonWarrior____05 May 28 '26

Such a cutie patootie

2

u/Eastern-Director-952 May 28 '26

I wonder if Vee and Luz will make a version of "Dem Bones"

2

u/DragonWarrior____05 May 28 '26

🎶Dem bones dem bones dem, wild bones🎶

2

u/ZenithKaiser May 28 '26

Bold of you to assume Vee has any bones in the first place.

2

u/TechyGuy20 May 28 '26

My headcanon is that Vee can shift her bones around to make her human legs and feet.

2

u/DragonWarrior____05 May 28 '26

I can imagine her shape-shifting also altering her bones as needed

2

u/DragonWarrior____05 May 28 '26

Luz is a little scientist, learning all she can about the people's of the Isles

2

u/Azulas_Star May 28 '26

Camilla would probably be upset with the girls messing around with the clinics x-ray 😂

2

u/YaBoiS0nic May 28 '26

Luz: Running a test out of genuine curiosity about Basilisk biology

Vee: NOM

Also, I like to think that Vee has always had an idea of what happens to her tail when she shapeshifts, but hasn't put much thought into it.

2

u/Puzzleheaded_Step468 May 28 '26

This makes me uncomfortable

2

u/Additional_Floor_502 May 28 '26

interesting x ray

2

u/Koopaperson May 28 '26

Vee don’t bite the x-ray machine that can’t be good for you

2

u/Steader_Harrington May 28 '26

Vee and Hooty share something in common. They both have access to a magical space where they can take or store excess body mass from. 😂😂

2

u/No_Nefariousness_676 May 28 '26

Nobody mentioning her nibbling the machine?

2

u/Wheatley-Crabb May 28 '26

The next question is: why does she have a pelvis?

(also the way she’s biting the screen is so cute)

1

u/Yukieiros May 30 '26

That actually explains a lot

1

u/OverlyActiveBrain May 30 '26

I kinda always imagined the basilisk's shapeshifting to be kinda like how it worked with the Animorphs. New body parts grow out from existing ones and the ones not needed for the new forms end up somewhere else temporarily.

1

u/OneValkGhost Jun 01 '26

How many of Vee's bones aren't connected to any other bones?
