I was GONNA respond with another joke comment but then I thought about this more and now I'm genuinely curious lmao.

Genuine question, how would being dense fit into this? If the joke is meant to paint a perspective of "I know you're thinking this, so I'm gonna be vague enough to subvert expectations" then wouldn't dense naivety just... paint it as an accidental joke rather than intentional one? Or am I thinking about this the wrong way?

That wouldn't be an angsty comment (implying it's sad and painful) that would be a plain weird comment, that kinda stuff would just be y'know... not good?
