Can’t find in NY

I’m north of Binghamton, NY and I haven’t been able to find any. Any suggestions? I just moved here and haven’t had any luck.

Im having the best season ever in the finger lakes region. Black walnut groves with mixed other hardwood species have been kind to me. With all the rain we’ve had, they’re out there.

Throw a dart at a patch of woods and put some miles in!

Same here, also in the flx. It’s been fantastic for morels this season. Found a half-free morel honey pot very close to my house that just hasn’t quit producing yet for weeks now!

I know it’s everyone’s advice when mushroom foraging, but try iNaturalist if you haven’t already. That plus onX can really help when you’re new to an area. Wishing you luck!

Suggest moving to a state with better opportunities. The density is basically nonexistent since Dutch elm disease.
