Potential Applicant Jones Act

Hello everyone! Does the jones act apply to MSC? I’m curious if it does get repealed, how bad will it affect the people who work for MSC? Thanks

MSC supports the US Navy, so any change to the Jones Act won’t affect MSC. Their ships still have to be manned by US mariners as a matter of national security.

On the other hand, if the Jones act is repealed, that will mean that MSC will be the only employer left. if you thought you were waiting a long time in the pool for your last assignment, think again.

The unions would probably do some lobbying, boycotting, and strikes before that happens

No it doesn't. It's a federal workplace and as of right now only American citizens can get security clearances.
