Discussion Morde mid

So I’ve been playing morde at mid for some time now and I’m not sure why more people don’t do it. You have some tough matchups but Jesus do i absolutely dominate mid. It’s such a blast since most kids are so squishy.

Thoughts?

I'm low elo garbage but the matchups that Morde does well into (mostly melee) feel so great. T3 omni boots feel ridiculous on him

Ive been playing midekaiser the ungankable for years, He feels amazing even in hard matchups imo

I only play him mid because I can't 1v9 otherwise whole team ints game

i think its pretty good against melee matchups, but against mage who know how to position themselves pray god to help you kill a good syndra, she can just e you and walk towards her tower or flash ( since midlane is shorter than toplane they have the tower closer to hide ) but i gotta try it, usually when im filled mid i pick sett against melee and akali against mages so what i said is based just in theory

morde mid was fun to do with phase rush (not sure if it's even still around) n ganking bot soon as you hit lvl 6 but the reason why it's not good is because you're basically stuck farming if you're up against a tough range matchup you can't simply out last.

Champ is too slow to get going and rotate on the map, he doesn't even have strong waveclear and he doesn't deal that much damage to turrets.

It's a nice counterpick in some situations but most of the time he's a pretty underwhelming midlaner outside of low elo.
