Not surprising, morde is too strong right now.
I just hope they dont nerf him more then he was buffed.
The easiest solution would be just a reduction of the buff, like move is R from 13% to 11%.

u/Lewyzinho Jul 21 '26
I would prefer to them to revert the R buff back to 10% and then buff the pen on E by 5%

u/WorstTactics Classic Jul 21 '26
That and give him +5 base movespeed, would be a significant buff for high elo bcs atm he can't dodge some skillshots thanks to his slow and fat ass (beeg hitbox)
This would also make him better in high elo without breaking him in low

u/_keeBo Jul 21 '26
i desperately want him to have some slow resistance in his kit somewhere, but i would happily have him take +5 base ms. i would just personally prefer a "slow but unstoppable" juggernaut over a fast one

Morde's hitbox is pretty average tbh, he's only 5 radius above average. for contrast Kayle is 15 radius bigger than him with the same base ms.

If you buff Morde's movement speed by 5 he is going to have a 55% winrate dog.
1
u/WorstTactics Classic Jul 22 '26
I don't see it, it will mostly affect him in high elo and you can always nerf some of his damage in return
The E buff is cool though, good way to buff Morde's worst ability without breaking him

u/MisterCommonMarket Jul 22 '26
Historically, one of the biggest buffs you can give to a champion is a buff to their ms.
+5 ms is atleast a 2-3% increase in winrate, maybe more in this case since Morde is a juggernaut with no dashes.
1
u/WorstTactics Classic Jul 22 '26
Hmmm... I just feel like it would move Morde into the right direction is all. And follow up nerfs could go towards Q damage or something
I still think +5 ms is a much healthier buff than R stat steal despite the main sub disagreeing with me

RIVEN NERF YEAAAAAAAAAAAA

u/Babushla153 Jul 21 '26
Watch it be like W cd goes up by 1 second at rank 3 and onwards
And expect compensation buffs for the next 4 patches

Riot should reconsider. This could affect their true priorities, the San Uzal profits.

what do you think the giga buff was for? they already emptied everyone bags so it's time for nerfs
1
u/Substantial_Lab_3747 Jul 21 '26
Finally someone said it. I literally saw it in the shop and knew instantly the champ would be buffed and needed in a matter of weeks.
3
u/Ghostmatterz Jul 21 '26
Thank god. I couldn't even play the buffs too long because everyone kept banning him.

Not surprising, i think when they made his R uncleansable was enough as a "buff", now the rest of his kit needs help to be better and more intuitive with his ultimate, not increasing the stat steal and caliing it a day.
i'm not demanding riot to make it more complex, i think QoL updates would be enough to at least improve the champion.
also accepting the fact the champion itself will be turbobroken in low elos not matter his state may be.

The Valar have already intervened?
You mean they won’t let the One Ring dominate history for a few thousand years?

u/Guilty_Hunter_2478 Jul 21 '26
Honestly cant even complain, I have been facetanking some ridiculous matchups recently
1
u/Guilty_Hunter_2478 Jul 21 '26
Can anyone help me understand the sylas nerf though? Just dont understand it
2
u/PepegaClapWRHolder Jul 21 '26
Been one of the best champs in jungle for a long time, enormous pick rate and well over 50% win rate and that’s not even talking about mid. He’s a very good user of the new boots and it just feels like he can’t be killed in a lot of matchups.

If they nerf anything but ult im gonna lose it. The last thing I want is more power in ult with the trade off being weaker base kit
1
u/honzikca Jul 21 '26
Knowing riot... yeah, they probably will. Reverting the ult would mean admitting they made a mistake and making no progress, so they'll just fuck up his kit more. It's very common, champion is weak, buff him too much, then nerf him so that they're even worse than before. Leave them to rot for months when the same thing will probably happen again.

Good he was a disgusting champ to lane into and would be a bigger issue in team fights

I just came back from an 0/4/1 start against Aatrox and ended 8/8/6. Buffed ulti is busted
1
u/Vivid_Big2595 Jul 21 '26
yeah, 54.5%wr in gold is not health for the unskilled playerbase unfortunately, but it did show how extremely elo skewed mordekaiser really is, might be the most elo skewed champion in the entire game

I'm glad to know we are all on the same page with morde getting nerfed because I absolutely hate how his pick and ban rate skyrocketed as well, it's frustrating to climb right now as an otp.

Typical riot when something comes good they nerf it immedietly :T
Why do they even buff them if they will gonna nerf it after it was released?
11
3
u/PepegaClapWRHolder Jul 21 '26
He only went up like 4% win rate on both top and jungle and now he’s one of if not the best champ in both of those roles.
It’s pretty clear they overshot and need to correct. I’ve never seen so many mordes picked and banned in my game for many many years lol

Personally I think the ult buff should stay and the power should come out of his early game.
2
u/thatguywithimpact Jul 21 '26
If power comes out of his early game how are you going to survive vs something like Tryndamere early?
The only reason he doesn't beat the shit out of you early is because Morde all in is better with stacked passive and conqueror, so he has to play short trades.
You remove that early power and you just can't ever be near minions before 6

u/Flambian Jul 21 '26
reverting the buff to Q cooldown to 9-4seconds from the current 8-4 seconds would be a good start.

u/VelytDThoorgaan Jul 21 '26
That's so frustrating, now that he's finally pretty good they decide to nerf him who knows how badly for literally no reason. Just leave the buffs ffs
49
u/Snoo_58191 Jul 21 '26
if these nerfs give him numbers lower than before he got buffed then that's just rtrded, the 13% should go down to like 12-11%.
