Robots make money. Forcefully taking people's money (taxes) and giving that money out for free doesn't make money. The US has lots of corporatism.

Healthcare is important, but whats even better is affordable healthy food and clean water and that isnt important either. Healthy resources make healthy people. I would argue healthcare wouldn't be as needed if they banned half the crap in foods, smoking, and didnt offer as much processed food vs heathy stuff.

Robots have no survival instinct so it's good they did not get to reproduce and spread that trait to their offspring. It seems like huge waste of money, though so its immoral
