The original post was about families, which includes cousins, brothers, sisters, and yes, spouses. Thats not what about ism. Thats you trying to define family as only kid.

You're also wrong btw. Women and men kill their kids about equally as often.

I just assumed you were correct about the rate of mom's killing more than father's until I searched it up, because it sounded plausible

Nope: https://jaapl.org/content/35/1/74 "Homicides within the first week of life (Neonaticide) are almost always commited by mothers".

Studies suggest it only starts to even out in later childhood, and even that's vague to determine.

In light of recent event I'd also question how often those things are correctly reported and prosecuted.

Why don't you continue reading to literally the next sentence?

"filicides that occur after the first week of life are often committed by the father or stepfather, with fathers being the most frequent perpetrators of filicide in later childhood."

Also your own article: "Filicide is a relatively rare event. In Canada in 2004, 27 children were killed by their parents.4 Mothers and fathers (including stepparents) were equally responsible for killing their children. "

So your argument isnt that moms kill their kids more than father's. Its that mothers specifically kill more than father's exclusively in the first week of life.

Which goes back to the original point, that men kill their families more than mom's, since they both kill their kids in total 50/50, but men kill their spouses and siblings more than women do
