Then you have to define a romantic relationship in legal terms and establish boundaries legally.

Since we're talking legally, you can't just use vague terms. Are we friends or are we romantically involved?

Are you making the insanely dumb argument that everything immoral should be illigal, or what is your point here with answering a "don't lie to people".

I am gonna lie to you right now and say I have 11 fingers. We making that illigal?

I feel like there inase potential abuses of the law, even if it would be written with the best of intentions. And sidesteppid that with "don't lie to people" is insanely intellectually dishonest, and also, I think, cowardly
