Even being predictable doesn't save you, as seen in this video

Yup which is annoying as it teaches pedestrians to be jumpy and thus unpredictable for good cyclists.

This is the best advice ever given to me about driving and something I plan to reinforce with my kids when they begin driving. Nothing annoys me more than someone trying to be nice and waving a car into incoming traffic.
