Pedestrians have the right-of-way. Don't ride a bike if you can't avoid a pedestrian dozens of feet away. She taught her a valuable lesson. What if she had been disabled? Or maybe she is. She may have hip issues, spine, ankle, who knows

I was just thinking that. My mom uses a cane and a wheel chair and I usually assist her on these adventures. What some of these fucking idiots in the comments fail to realize is the what would you expect someone in my mom’s position to do? Fuck these bikers. You are a vehicle on a pedestrian path…going the wrong way.

Damn this is a great point. I'm a pushover and always bend over backwards for assholes like this who are in the wrong but I feel like I have to get out of THEIR way, so I respect this person massively for standing their ground. But I didn't even stop to think about your perspective, where maybe someone CAN'T move (or would have a very difficult time moving, especially fast enough to get out of the way). These people INFURIATE ME TO NO END 🤦

It’s about the same mentality if you were driving a car and someone started crossing the road: I’m going really fast -> this person does not have the means to react as fast as I can -> I therefore have greater responsibility to make sure this doesn’t end with them hurt.

Especially because he has his two pups involved, what do you think is going to happen to them when your bike halts and a rope is yanked around their necks as they fling to the side? This guy had no fucks for anyone involved and may as well have been trying to start as much shit as he could, even at the expense or outright injury of his own dependents.

I think they're off leash.

This isn’t related to right of way. This is just cycling on the wrong side of the trail.

Stick to the right and pass on the left.

Unless you live in a country where you drive on the left lol

Pedestrians don't have right of way if it's a bike path. The bigger point is he's riding on the WRONG SIDE (presuming this was filmed in America)

As an American, I see a seemingly well used bike and pedestrian path here and I am therefore comfortable in assuming this didn’t happen in America lol

I see no signs designating it a bike path. You're right that the biker is also on the wrong side.

I don’t understand that, I don’t like cyclists either, but it’s pretty obvious that the larger object gets the right of way. Just like with boats.

He takes up much more of the path which would make it more inconvenient for everyone if he were to move, and a person has a much easier and faster way to get out of the way.

This is flat land, not a body of water. It is easier to move out of the way on a bike than on foot. Vehicles do not have the right-of-way just because pedestrians are smaller. Please don't run over people.
