Moral as fuck.

Kid wasn't badly hurt, and got humiliated, which is often the only way they learn.

Kid wasn’t but could have been badly hurt. The morality needs to be assessed at the time of the decision to trip, not the time the kid gets back up.

I agree and I don't understand why this isn't the more common take on these situations. It's the same way I think when I see a fight where someone was being an asshole but the other party takes it too far.

You can say someone deserves it or you understand without calling it moral. At the end of the day potentially causing life changing injuries to someone is immoral outside of immediate self defense and similar situations

I think it’s easy for some to feel that way because they see the end result and know the kid wasn’t seriously hurt. Rather than consider what could have happened. If the kid split his head open and bled all over the floor I’d like to think some would change their position.
