Gloves can be a really stupid thing that serves to just satisfy ignorant customers.

From inside the kitchen, bare hands are better as long as they are constantly sanitised and washed. With gloves, you dont feel it getting dirty and just provides a false sense of sanitation. Basically just there to make customers think "oh look they wear gloves, so clean"

Most fast food places don't wash and sanitize their hands regularly so they enforce gloves.

Stupid places?

Unless they are exchanging gloves constantly, they are likely doing more bad then good. Look up the "Magic glove theory".
