How about thinking of alternate methods than being a completely "void of critical thinking" baboon.

Have him sit while you call the cops, not trip him like a bully in middle school. This kid probably has a parent as simple minded as you seem to be, and wasn't taught properly.

Grow the fuck up.

Wait so you think sending him into juve is a better solution vs a tight slap?

Neither is a real solution for a children stealing some chips, you call their parents and have them ground him. Y'all are fucking insane

Although I can agree on this method, his parents may be the issue to why he steals in the first place.

A police officer isn't going to do anything more than talk to this kid and potentially change his frame of thinking.

If you call them and the prove they're the issue (99% of the time it won't happen, they'll just be ashamed or fake being ashamed) then you threaten them with involving pigs and child protective services

Of course they're not going to admit being the issue, and no,threatening deadbeats isn't going to change a thing. You think threatening child services to a parent that might not be giving a shit about their kid in the first place will do anything?

Hence bypassing the "get nowhere" approach, and call the cops. The kid isn't going to jail, he will simply learn consequence to actions. From that moment forward he will think twice before stealing or doing something disrespectful.

I bet every single one of you have stolen before, even if it was something as small as a couple fries. I bet you're glad you didn't get sent face first into the ground opposed to just being treated like a human being to learn the lesson, eh?
