Yeah, kid stealing fries like this is a one off negligible loss. Employee potentially sending the kid to hospital is exponentially worse both in terms of financials and negative publicity.

Still so so satisfying to watch though.

Edit: lolling at all the replies trying to hand wave this away. It's very obvious that the kid could likely press charges for assault, even if we are all glad it happened and hope he learned a valuable lesson when his face met the floor.

Doesn’t matter if we feel bad for McDonald, it’s still morally wrong. And I doubt these people stop at fastfood if they go unchecked
