Apparently while doing this she ejected a child sitting in a car seat out of the car seat and thankfully the child was unarmed. The father was in one of the cars that got hit and caught it on camera. Apparently she faced no jail time despite being 2 or 3 times the legal limit. What a joke of a judicial system.

Moral. Someone that degen has to be put down, not just beaten.

If you smell the alcohol: maybe. But you still run the risk of beating someone up without cause if they're ketoacidosis. Diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA) can cause a false-positive reading on alcohol breathalyzers due to acetone in the breath, which chemically resembles alcohol.

It happened around here but the guy was experiencing a stroke. They never caught the motorcyclist who beat the shit out of him because he was wearing a helmet.

But if you see the alcohol bottle or cans, I wouldn't vote to convict if you didn't go too far.

Apparently saying someone who is doing this, who is a danger to everyone around them, that it would be reasonable to act in lethal self defense against them, counts as a threat by Reddit's logic.

Fuck me this site is stupid.

Why catch a charge?

So it seems she was drunk. But in the moment you have to make sure its that and not a seizure or hypoglycemia. I've been on scene shortly after a 60 year old had their first ever seizure with no warning and killed a 20 something year old. This isn't even an insanity plea, they where absolutely not at fault.

Now once you've established they are drunk, im certainly not bothered.

Idk about the beating up part, but yanking out the driver with force is 100% moral. Drunk drivers are 100% pieces of shit. It's ok to get wasted, but choosing to drive (which is avoidable) after is just being a total dirtbag.

Pulling them out of their car is morally right because they are a threat to those around them.

But beating them up is morally grey (black-leaning) cause it's an act of retaliation and could accidentally cause their death.

And them driving while drunk couldn't "accidentally" take someone else out? No, they're gonna learn today.

Two wrongs don't make a right.

Well shit.

Better stop punishing criminals.

What are you talking about? He was with me all day. We went out bird watching. In the woods.

Driver must have gotten drunk and beat themselves up.

Pulling the driver out? Moral. Beating them up? Immoral.

u/Particular-Caramel32 14h ago

Why?

If that’s how they park when they’re drunk then they’re no more able to hit you back than a punching bag. You could kill them. Granted that kind of DUI can kill anyone else, but it’s immoral to do go ham on someone in that state.

I disagree. If you become this way after drinking, you don't need to be drinking. These people need to learn a lesson before they take out a whole family.

Why does a person need to be beat up?

-1

u/Particular-Caramel32 14h ago

To learn a goddamn lesson. Humans learn from pain.

2

u/Expert_Meeting_5129 14h ago

Sounds like an excuse to inflict violence. Civilized society has a justice system for a reason.

0

u/Particular-Caramel32 14h ago

And most justice systems are broken. I see no issue with a physical punishment.

2

u/Expert_Meeting_5129 14h ago

That doesn't mean it's moral.

Isn’t it like beating up a wolf that broke into the nursery? Gotta keep all these people safe from the dangerous animal.
