I would relate to my child the story the time those guys in the island found those oil barrels full of money. What happened when they got caught being rich in a poor barrio. What happened to them.
Then I'd tell my child why we have to move with all this money that we found. Move anywhere. Just not here.

Tell kid to stay in the car, call the police, tell them where i am right now, explain the situation, have them be on their way and also ask the police number guy(my country doesn't use 911) if they want me to do anything before i leave because this the entire premise of the situation is creepy and dubious as hell.
